Dzień Osób z Niepełnosprawnością rozpocznie tuż przed 9.00 mecz integracyjny w sali gimnastycznej Szkoły Podstawowej nr 2, w którym uczniowie Zespołu Szkół Specjalnych zmierzą się z drużyną Urzędu Miejskiego. Następnie w Hali Kultury odbędą się animacje dla dzieci – przedszkolaków i uczniów łomżyńskich placówek integracyjnych.
W samo południe na parkingu przy Parku Wodnym przy ul. Wyszyńskiego 15 rozpocznie się część piknikowa Dnia Osób z Niepełnosprawnością. W ramach przeglądu twórczości osób z niepełnosprawnością na scenie zobaczymy podopiecznych: Środowiskowego Domu Samopomocy, Domu Pomocy Społecznej, Dziennego Domu Senior + oraz Klubu Seniora. Następnie zagrają i zaśpiewają znane i lubiane przez łomżyńską publiczność rodzime zespoły: Bioacoustic i Skiela Kapela. Zatańczą "Gwiazdeczki" i dzieci z "katolika" oraz mali tancerze z Elite Dancing Kids pod kierunkiem Eli Komorowskiej.
W pobliżu sceny staną stoiska, a w nich można będzie m.in. zbadać poziom cukru we krwi i zmierzyć ciśnienie – badania przeprowadzą przedstawicielki Centrum Medycznego „Cemed”. Natomiast Stowarzyszenie Pielęgniarek i Położnych na Rzecz Rozwoju, Promocji i Doskonalenia Zawodowego w Łomży zaprosi do swojego stoiska panów, którym, w ramach profilaktyki chorób nowotworowych raka prostaty, będzie pobierana krew na oznaczenie poziomu PSA. Pielęgniarki będą tez prowadzić edukację dotyczącą zdrowego trybu życia.
Do swoich stoisk zaproszą Centra Integracji Społecznej. CIS z Łomży będzie częstować uczestników wydarzenia popcornem, watą cukrową i pączkami, zaprezentuje też prace swoich podopiecznych. Natomiast CIS z Piątnicy przeprowadzi gry i zabawy dla dzieci, w namiocie zaplanowano malowanie twarzy i wykonywanie zwierząt z balonów.
W Dzień Osób z Niepełnosprawnością zaangażują się studenci pedagogiki Akademii Nauk Stosowanych w Łomży. Uczelnia po raz kolejnych włącza się w miejskie wydarzenie dedykowane osobom z niepełnosprawnością. Tym razem studenci poprowadzą kącik rysunkowy i czytelniczy dla dzieci z placówek integracyjnych w Hali Kultury, a po południu zorganizują animacje w plenerze dla najmłodszych uczestników integracyjnej imprezy.
Na uczestników wydarzenia czekało będzie stoisko z wodą pitną, które przygotuje Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w Łomży. W trakcie imprezy zaplanowano również ciepły poczęstunek.
Dzień Osób z Niepełnosprawnością organizowany jest w ramach projektu pn. „Łomża – Miasto, w którym żyję i pracuję”, finansowanego ze środków Norweskiego Mechanizmu Finansowego 2014-2021.
Artistic performances, handicraft exhibition, entertainment for children, preventive examinations - all this is waiting for the participants of the Day of Persons with Disabilities. Already on 20 May 2022, the Lomza City Hall has prepared numerous attractions for our residents. The event is planned from the morning until late afternoon in various places around the city.
The Day of People with Disabilities will begin just before 9.00 a.m. with an integration football match in the gym of the Primary School No. 2, in which students of the Special School Complex are going to face the City Hall team. Afterwards, there will be entertainment for children - kindergarten pupils and students of integrated schools in Lomza - in the Culture Hall.
At noon, the picnic part of the Day of People with Disabilities will begin in the parking lot next to the Water Park at 15 Wyszyńskiego St. As part of the review of creativity of people with disabilities on stage we will see the wards of: Środowiskowy Dom Samopomocy (Centre for People with Special Needs), Dom Pomocy Społecznej (Nursing Home), Dzienny Dom Senior+ (Daily Care Centre "Senior+") and Klub Seniora (Senior Citizens' Club). Afterwards, the local bands: Bioacoustic and Skiela Kapela, well-known and loved by the local audience, will play and sing. The "Gwiazdeczki" and the Catholic school pupils will present their dance show, as will the young dancers from the group "Elite Dancing Kids" under the supervision by Ela Komorowska.
Near the stage, there will be stands where one can check his blood sugar and blood pressure - examinations will be conducted by representatives of the "Cemed" Medical Centre. The Association of Nurses and Midwives for Development, Promotion and Vocational Improvement in Lomza will invite men to their stand, where they will have an opportunity to check their PSA level as part of prostate cancer prevention. The nurses will also provide education on healthy lifestyle.
Social Integration Centres (CIS) will invite the participants to their stands. The Lomza CIS will treat the guests to popcorn, cotton candy and doughnuts, while also presenting works of their wards. CIS from Piątnica will provide games and activities for children, face painting and making balloon animals in the tent.
Pedagogy students of the Academy of Applied Sciences in Lomza will contribute to the Day of People with Disabilities. Once again, the Academy joins the city event dedicated to this particular group. This time, the students will host a drawing and reading corner for children from integration institutions at the Culture Hall, and in the afternoon they will organise outdoor entertainment for the youngest participants of the integration event.
A stand with drinking water, prepared by the Municipal Water and Sewage Company in Lomza, will be waiting for the participants of the event. Warm refreshments will also be served during the festival.
The Day of People with Disabilities is organised as part of the project "Lomza - The City I Live and Work In", financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
